Diljit Dosanjh Confirms Indore Concert on November 15 Despite Bomb Threats and Song Restrictions

Diljit Dosanjh has made it clear that he will perform in Indore on November 15 as part of his AURA India Tour 2026, despite bomb-threat emails and restrictions on four songs. The singer has assured fans that he intends to keep his commitment and meet them in the city.

Punjabi singer and actor Diljit Dosanjh is not backing out of his upcoming Indore concert despite a series of controversies surrounding the event. The singer is scheduled to perform in the city on November 15, 2026, as part of his AURA India Tour. However, the show has attracted attention after bomb-threat emails were reportedly sent to schools and the Indore Mayor's office, while authorities have also directed the venue management to ensure that four of his songs are not performed.

Amid these developments, Diljit has made his position clear: he intends to visit Indore and perform for his fans as scheduled. His latest remarks have generated considerable discussion, with the singer emphasising that threats and difficulties will not change his commitment to the audience.

Diljit Dosanjh says he will perform in Indore

Addressing the controversy, Diljit confirmed that he would be in Indore on November 15. He also mentioned the city's popular poha, adding a light-hearted touch to his message.

"I will visit Indore on 15th of November. I will have poha first after visiting Indore. Anyone can say anything, but I will meet you in Indore on 15th November. I have heard in the news that there will be some 'sankat'. But we know how to handle this. Do they know who are we?" he said.

His statement reflects his determination to honour the concert commitment despite the uncertainty surrounding the event. The singer has not announced any decision to cancel or postpone the performance.

Bomb-threat emails sent to schools and Mayor's office

The security controversy intensified after three private schools and the office of Indore Mayor Pushyamitra Bhargava reportedly received bomb-threat emails linked to the November 15 concert.

According to police, the emails sent to the schools were written in Punjabi. They allegedly threatened bomb blasts and warned school managements against sending students to the concert. A similar threat was reportedly received by the Mayor's office.

Bomb disposal squads searched all three schools but did not find any explosives. Additional Deputy Commissioner of Police Rajesh Dandotiya said preliminary investigations suggested that the messages could be hoaxes. The crime branch is examining technical evidence to identify the people responsible.

The police investigation is ongoing, and the threats have not been established as genuine. Authorities have said appropriate legal action will follow once the investigation identifies the source of the emails.

Authorities restrict four songs from the concert

Apart from the security concerns, Diljit's Indore show has also faced restrictions over the content of some songs.

On November 6, the District Child Protection Officer in Indore directed the management of C-21 Mall to ensure that the singer does not perform four specific tracks during the concert. The songs named in the communication are:

The directive followed a complaint by Chandigarh-based professor Dr Panditrao Dharennavar, who has raised concerns about songs allegedly promoting alcohol, drugs and firearms.

The official communication referred to a 2019 Punjab and Haryana High Court order concerning songs that glorify intoxicants and violence. It also noted that children aged five and above would be allowed to attend the event, making the issue of song content particularly relevant.

The direction places responsibility on the venue management to ensure that the four identified songs are not performed. There has been no confirmed announcement from Diljit or the concert organisers about how the restrictions will affect the final setlist.

Diljit's concerts have faced challenges in other cities

The Indore controversy comes after the singer encountered hurdles surrounding performances in other parts of India. His Delhi concert at Jawaharlal Nehru Stadium on October 30 also faced uncertainty after police initially withheld permission, citing security and law-and-order concerns during the festive period.

The organisers subsequently submitted a revised security plan, following which permission was granted and the concert went ahead.

Diljit also recently spoke about difficulties surrounding his proposed Bihar performance. During an Instagram Live session, he explained that disagreements over crowd-management responsibilities had prevented the event from materialising. He argued that managing a large concert audience requires substantial logistical planning and coordination with the administration.

AURA India Tour 2026: Where will Diljit perform next?

The Indore concert is part of Diljit Dosanjh's ongoing AURA India Tour 2026. Following his Delhi performance, the singer is scheduled to perform in several other cities across the country.

His announced tour dates include Ahmedabad on November 21, Mumbai on November 27, Bengaluru on November 29, Lucknow on December 5, Chandigarh on December 12 and Kolkata on December 19.

For now, the November 15 Indore concert remains on the schedule. Despite the bomb-threat emails, police investigation and restrictions on four songs, Diljit's public message has been consistent: he plans to meet his fans in Indore. The focus will now be on security arrangements, compliance with the official directions and the final concert programme.
