According to reports, Sanjay Leela Bhansali, who is currently nearing the completion of Love & War starring Ranbir Kapoor, Alia Bhatt and Vicky Kaushal, is preparing to move ahead with the biopic based on legendary actress Madhubala.
The upcoming film is expected to feature Sara Arjun in the role of Madhubala and will be directed by Darlings filmmaker Jasmeet K Reen, with Bhansali backing the project as producer.
The film is reportedly expected to go on floors in September 2026. The production team is said to be planning to transform the sets currently being used for the final phase of Love & War at Royal Palms in Goregaon for the Madhubala project.
Sara has reportedly already begun preparing for the challenging role, with the film expected to explore Madhubala’s personality, career and the cinematic world in which she became one of Hindi cinema’s most celebrated stars.
The project has generated considerable curiosity as Madhubala continues to remain one of the most iconic figures in the history of Indian cinema.
Kunickaa Sadanand and Son Ayaan Lall Get a New Home After 20 Years
Actress Kunickaa Sadanand and her son Ayaan Lall are also celebrating a major personal milestone as they prepare to move into a new home after spending around two decades in their previous residence.
Ayaan recently offered viewers a glimpse of the new property through his YouTube channel and revealed that the family will finally be shifting homes after nearly 20 years.
The house is currently being completed and customised according to their requirements. It reportedly includes a personal elevator, while additional storage space has been planned for Kunickaa’s room.
Ayaan described the move as the beginning of a new chapter for the family. Leaving a home associated with nearly two decades of memories is understandably emotional, but the family is now looking forward to designing, decorating and eventually moving into their new space.
Ektaa R Kapoor and Amar Butala Join Hands for ‘Hero Ki Horrorine’
On the film front, producer Ektaa R Kapoor has teamed up with producer Amar Butala for the upcoming horror-comedy ** Hero Ki Horrorine **.
The film will be directed by Sajid Khan and is scheduled to arrive in theatres on January 7, 2027.
Presented by Balaji Telefilms Ltd and produced by Shobha Kapoor, Ektaa R Kapoor and Amar Butala, the film is being positioned as a theatrical entertainer combining horror, comedy, romance and supernatural elements.
Hero Ki Horrorine will also mark the Hindi film debut of Govinda’s son Yashvardhan Ahuja, who will be seen opposite Laapataa Ladies actress Nitanshi Goel.
Interestingly, Sunita Ahuja will also feature in the movie. The ensemble cast further includes Jamie Lever, Chunky Panday, Brijendra Kala and Simrat Kaur Randhawa.
The project brings Ektaa Kapoor back to the horror-comedy space while also marking Sajid Khan’s return to feature-film direction.
