Before Akshay Kumar, This Actor Was Offered the Role in Horror Comedy ‘Bhool Bhulaiyaa’

Akshay Kumar, despite facing a string of box office disappointments, remains a prominent star in Bollywood. He is soon set to return with another horror-comedy, Bhoot Bangla. This film marks his collaboration with director Priyadarshan, a partnership that has historically resulted in several successful ventures. The Original Casting Choice

Released in 2007, Bhool Bhulaiyaa featured Akshay Kumar, Shiney Ahuja, and Vidya Balan in leading roles. The film was well-received for its mix of comedy and suspense, and Akshay Kumar’s portrayal of the eccentric psychiatrist, Dr. Aditya Shrivastav, earned him considerable acclaim. In fact, Saif Ali Khan was the first choice for the character of Dr. Aditya Shrivastav. Khan, however, declined the role for reasons unknown, leading the filmmakers to offer it to Akshay Kumar.
