She explained that she wanted to make sure that she could add value to a project if she was going to be associated with it. However, she felt that she was not being given the opportunity to perform and was being treated like a prop instead. Therefore, she concluded that it was not worth her time. Ayesha Jhulka expressed that she had to stop taking up roles that typecasted her as a glamour girl. She pointed out that every actress desires growth and recognition for their acting skills, and not just for their appearance. According to Jhulka, despite having different character names, the roles she was offered were quite similar when she first started working in the Hindi film industry.

She acknowledged that it was acceptable as a newcomer, but as she progressed in her career, she wanted to be recognized for her acting skills.
