Alia Bhatt recently demonstrated her packed work schedule while shooting for the song Re Bawri from Don’t Be Shy. Choreographer Vijay Ganguly revealed that the actress arrived for the song shoot immediately after completing an early morning schedule for Sanjay Leela Bhansali’s Love & War.
Despite having little time to rest or prepare, Alia managed to complete the dance sequence in just a few hours.
Vijay Ganguly Recalls Alia’s Quick Preparation
Speaking about the making of Re Bawri, Vijay Ganguly recalled that Alia did not have enough time for a conventional rehearsal before the shoot.
According to the choreographer, the actress learned the hook step in around five minutes. She then proceeded with the shoot and completed the entire song sequence within approximately five hours.
Ganguly’s account highlights the tight schedule under which the song was filmed and Alia’s ability to quickly adapt to the choreography.
Alia’s Busy Schedule With Love & War
At the time of the Re Bawri shoot, Alia was also working on Love & War, Sanjay Leela Bhansali’s highly anticipated film starring Ranbir Kapoor, Alia Bhatt and Vicky Kaushal.
The film completed its main shoot earlier this month and is scheduled to arrive in theatres on January 21, 2027. However, Bhansali has since returned to the sets for additional battle sequences involving the lead actors.
Alia’s transition from the Love & War schedule to the Re Bawri shoot reflects how closely packed her professional commitments have been.
Re Bawri Features Alia Bhatt in Don’t Be Shy
Re Bawri is the first song released from Don’t Be Shy, the upcoming Prime Video film produced by Alia Bhatt and Shaheen Bhatt.
The upbeat track features Alia alongside the film’s young cast and captures the movie’s themes of friendship, spontaneity and youthful energy. Sona Mohapatra has lent her voice to the song, while Ram Sampath has composed the music.
The song has been designed as a lively introduction to the world of Don’t Be Shy, with Alia making a special appearance in the music video.
Don’t Be Shy Set for September Premiere
Don’t Be Shy is written and directed by Sreeti Mukerji and features Aarushi Bajaj, Piyush Khati, Bianca Arora and Ansh Duggal in leading roles. Kunaal Roy Kapur, Anurag Basu, Neha Dhupia and Anju Alva Naik are also part of the ensemble.
The film follows Shyamili “Shy” Das, a young woman whose carefully planned life begins to change unexpectedly. The coming-of-age story combines friendship, romance and the uncertainties of young adulthood.
The film is scheduled to premiere on Prime Video on September 25, 2026, in Hindi with English subtitles across India and more than 240 countries and territories.
