Akshay Kumar surpasses Salman Khan in Forbes World’s 100 Highest Paid Celebrities 2018 list
Forbes Magazine has revealed the World’s 100 Highest-Paid Celebrities 2018 list. The list includes two Bollywood superstars Akshay Kumar and Salman Khan.
In Forbes’ World’s 100 Highest-Paid Celebrities 2018 list Akshay Kumar is ranked on 76th and Salman is listed on 82nd position. According to Forbes, Akshay Kumar (50) has earned approximately Rs. 276 Crores ($40.5 Million). Along with giving hit films such as ‘Toilet: Ek Prem Katha’ and ‘Padman,’ the actor also made a big profit by promoting around 20 brands.
At the same time, according to Forbes, Salman Khan (52) has secured his place in the list by earning around Rs. 257 Crores ($37.7 Million). It has been written in Forbes that Salman Khan remains one of India’s top earners. Forbes said, “This Bollywood mainstay continues to produce and star in hits such as ‘Tiger Zinda Hai,’ cashing in on backend profits. Coupled with a slew of endorsements from Suzuki motorcycles to Chlormint gum, he remains one of India’s top earners.”
In the list, boxer Mayweather took the top position with earnings of $285 million. Forbes said that the total earnings of these 100 people of the world in the last 12 months is $6.3 billion (about 4.31 billion rupees), which is 22 percent more than the previous year. There are also 11 such stars in the list, whose earnings are more than $100 million (about Rs 6.83 billion).
Actor George Clooney is in second place and TV star Kylie Jenner is in third place. Apart from this, football player Cristiano Ronaldo (10), pop star Katy Perry (19), tennis player Roger Federer (23), singer Bianca Knowles (35), writer JK Rowling (42) and golf player Tiger Woods (66) Are in place.
