Mumbai: After facing months of uncertainty, title-related hurdles, and repeated release postponements, filmmaker Amit Dixit's much-awaited psychological mystery thriller 'Navya Chakra' is finally set to hit theatres on June 26, 2026.
The film's journey to the big screen has been anything but smooth. Initially announced under the title 'Navagunjara', the project was later renamed 'Navya Gunjara' before ultimately receiving certification approval under its final title, 'Navya Chakra'.
According to sources close to the production, the makers encountered significant challenges during the certification process due to objections linked to the film's title and concept. The movie was originally scheduled for release on May 15, 2026, and was subsequently postponed to May 29, 2026. However, certification issues reportedly prevented the film from securing clearance for release on either date.
After multiple rounds of discussions and compliance with the required guidelines, the filmmakers finally obtained approval to release the project as 'Navya Chakra', paving the way for its theatrical debut later this month.
Directed and produced by Amit Dixit, the film has been written by Rohit S. Yadav, who has also handled the story, screenplay, and dialogues. The project is produced under the banner of First Film Studios LLP in association with Low Agers Production and Cine Arts.
The film is produced by Amit Dixit, Ankita Goyal, and Ayush Jain, while Ajit Padwalkar serves as co-producer. Abhishek Dubey has been associated with the project as associate producer.
Featuring an ensemble cast, 'Navya Chakra' stars Jitendraa Bohara, Tushar Kawale, Jessica Yadav, Pratiksha Singh, Kshitij Pawar, Sandhya R. Gemawat, Sandeep Omkar, and Kailash Chaudhary in pivotal roles.
Presented as a Shubhro B musical, the film's visual world has been crafted by cinematographer Jai Nandan.
The recently released first-look poster has already sparked curiosity among moviegoers with its intriguing tagline: "Welcome to the world of PSYCON... we live in a world shared with them." The mysterious phrase hints at a narrative rooted in psychological suspense, unexplored dimensions, and mind-bending mysteries.
While the makers have kept key plot details tightly under wraps, the promotional material has generated significant interest among thriller enthusiasts eager to uncover the secrets hidden within the world of Navya Chakra.
With the certification process finally behind them, the team is now preparing for the film's long-awaited theatrical release on June 26, 2026, hoping to bring their ambitious psychological mystery to audiences across the country.
