Abhijeet, whose voice became synonymous with Shah Rukh Khan in many hit songs, has also sung for Salman Khan in the past. However, their professional relationship has soured over the years, and their animosity is well-known in the industry. Abhijeet has openly expressed his displeasure over Salman’s choice to work with Pakistani singers instead of giving opportunities to Indian talent. This has been a significant point of contention for the singer, leading to his public disapproval of Salman.
No Room for Discussion
In a candid conversation with Shubhankar Mishra, Abhijeet was asked about his thoughts on Salman Khan and Shah Rukh Khan. He made it clear that Salman was no longer someone he wanted to engage with, stating, “Salman is not even worth discussing.” In contrast, he expressed respect for Shah Rukh Khan, stating that any differences between them were purely professional and not due to personal animosity. Abhijeet further emphasized, “Don’t talk to me about Salman.”
Reflecting on ‘Judwaa’ and His Unexpected Collaboration with Salman
Earlier this year, Abhijeet also spoke about his experience recording the song “Tan Tana Tan” for Salman Khan’s film Judwaa in an interview with Pinkvilla. He revealed that at the time, he was unaware that Salman Khan would be starring in the film instead of Govinda, which led him to agree to sing the track without much hesitation. Abhijeet explained, “Anu Malik called me to Sahara Studios for a song by David Dhawan. We were never asked to rehearse. They just played the track, and whatever I sang, they kept it.” He further added that David Dhawan, who had worked exclusively with Govinda, did not inform him that Salman would be the lead in the film.
Abhijeet Bhattacharya’s bold remarks on Salman Khan have once again highlighted the tension between the two stars. While he maintains a professional relationship with Shah Rukh Khan, his disdain for Salman remains evident, with Abhijeet making it clear that he has no interest in discussing the actor further.
