The Kaun Banega Crorepati 18 stage witnessed an unexpected moment when public prosecutor Ujjwal Nikam revisited his memories of the Ajmal Kasab trial. Nikam appeared on the special celebrity episode alongside actors Rajkummar Rao and Wamiqa Gabbi to promote Prahaar: The Untold Story of Ujjwal Nikam.
During his conversation with host Amitabh Bachchan, Nikam recalled several claims allegedly made by Kasab after his arrest in connection with the 26/11 Mumbai terror attacks. One particular claim involved Bachchan himself.
According to Nikam, Kasab initially attempted to give different explanations about his presence in Mumbai. Nikam said Kasab claimed he was a fan of Hindi films and had come to Mumbai because he wanted to visit Amitabh Bachchan’s house.
The revelation was particularly striking because Bachchan was sitting right in front of Nikam when the story was recounted on KBC.

After hearing what Nikam recalled, Amitabh Bachchan responded with a darkly humorous remark. Reports from the episode say Bachchan joked that had Kasab actually arrived at his home, they would have shot him there.

The celebrity trio also participated in the quiz and managed to win ₹12.5 lakh. The prize money was reportedly donated to Manobal, a Jalgaon-based organisation working for visually impaired children.
