Celebrity-led advertising continued to make a strong impact this week, with several major brands turning to Bollywood names to build their festive campaigns. Shah Rukh Khan, Alia Bhatt and Ranbir Kapoor featured together in a Rungta Steel commercial, while Myntra once again brought Alia and Ranbir together for its Big Fashion Festival campaign.
At the same time, brands such as LAVA and Air India used entertainment and sports personalities to create campaigns built around storytelling rather than conventional product demonstrations.
1. Rungta Steel Brings Shah Rukh Khan, Alia Bhatt and Ranbir Kapoor Together
One of the week's biggest celebrity campaigns came from Rungta Steel with its new “Ekdum Solid” TVC. The commercial features Shah Rukh Khan, Alia Bhatt and Ranbir Kapoor together in a humorous setting.
The campaign plays with the stars' popular screen identities. Shah Rukh references Don, Ranbir draws on Rockstar, while Alia brings a Jigra-inspired idea into the conversation. Their playful exchanges eventually lead back to the brand's central message around the strength of its TMT bars.
2. Myntra Reunites Alia Bhatt and Ranbir Kapoor
Myntra's Big Fashion Festival campaign also features Alia Bhatt and Ranbir Kapoor as brand ambassadors.
The campaign turns ordinary situations into exaggerated reasons to go shopping. Ranbir's films include situations involving Diwali cleaning and a wedding, while Alia's stories transform everyday moments such as winning a card game or being called “madam” into elaborate shopping opportunities.
The Big Fashion Festival is scheduled to go live on October 8, with Myntra promoting more than eight million styles across fashion, beauty and lifestyle categories.
3. Flipkart Takes Big Billion Days To Kolkata
Flipkart brought its Big Billion Days campaign directly into Kolkata's streets through an activation titled “Kothaye Jaabe Dada?”
The campaign uses the city's familiar bus culture and BBD Bagh route to connect the shopping festival with local audiences. Bus tickets carry sale offers and QR codes, while route announcements and the familiar “BBD! BBD!” call have been adapted to fit the Big Billion Days message.
The campaign demonstrates how a national shopping event can be adapted around the cultural habits of a particular city.
4. Stayfree Continues Its Period Awareness Campaign
Stayfree returned with another chapter of its #BetaStayfreeLeAana campaign for Daughter's Day.
The film follows a young boy named Rohan whose mother casually asks him to purchase sanitary pads. While his friends initially react with embarrassment, Rohan treats the request naturally because menstrual health has always been openly discussed at home.
The campaign then uses the boys' conversation to challenge common myths and discomfort surrounding periods.
5. Air India Highlights Vaibhav Sooryavanshi’s Journey
Air India's latest chapter of “There's an Air about India” features young cricketer Vaibhav Sooryavanshi.
The campaign shifts attention from simply celebrating a rising sporting star to the people and communities that support an individual's journey. The film traces Sooryavanshi's progression from a young boy with a dream to a cricketer attracting national attention.
6. Clinic Plus Focuses On The Mother-Daughter Bond
Clinic Plus launched a new Daughter's Day film under its #MeriBetiStrong platform.
Titled “Maa Ki Mazbooti,” the campaign explores the changing relationship between a mother and daughter. The story shows how a daughter's growing independence and emotional strength can eventually become a source of courage for her mother.
Rather than focusing solely on the product, the campaign builds its message around family relationships and personal strength.
7. Vadilal And Parle Bring Hide & Seek Into Ice Cream
Vadilal Industries and Parle Products have partnered to introduce Hide & Seek Ice Cream.
The accompanying campaign, “Jodi Aisi Ki Nazar Na Lage,” plays on the idea of an unlikely but complementary combination. Chocolate chips, cookie crunch and Vadilal's ice cream are presented as the central trio behind the new product.
The campaign uses the familiar evil-eye concept as a playful creative device while introducing the new category collaboration.
8. JSW Group Celebrates Indian Athletes
JSW Group launched “Tere Sang Bharat,” an anthem campaign supporting Team India at the Asian Games 2026.
The campaign brings together 22 athletes from 11 sporting disciplines and focuses on their individual journeys, sacrifices and ambitions. The broader message centres on the connection between Indian athletes and the millions of people supporting them.
The campaign has been conceptualised by Ogilvy India and forms part of JSW's wider sports platform.
9. LAVA Turns A Smartphone Ad Into A Romantic Music Film
LAVA Mobiles has taken a different approach with its “Go With The Curve” campaign for the Virat Curve 5G.
Featuring actors Rohit Saraf and Pratibha Ranta, the campaign is structured like a romantic music film. It follows the pair through an imagined relationship journey involving romance, adventure and conflict.
The commercial uses the Bollywood song “Yaar Bina Chain Kahan Re” and integrates the smartphone into the narrative instead of relying mainly on a list of specifications.
10. Škoda Uses Khasi Rap For Its New Campaign
Škoda Auto India and BBH India launched “For The Restless” for the Kylaq Sportline.
The campaign is designed around the restless energy of a generation that wants to create its own path. One of its distinctive elements is the use of Khasi rap by Meba, giving the commercial a strong regional identity.
The campaign is currently running digitally and is expected to expand across television, print and outdoor advertising.
This Week’s Advertising Trends
The latest advertising roundup shows several clear themes emerging across Indian campaigns. Bollywood celebrity power remains a major tool for festive marketing, but brands are increasingly combining star appeal with humour, regional culture and emotional storytelling.
Campaigns from Flipkart and Škoda demonstrate the growing importance of regionalisation, while Stayfree and Clinic Plus use social and family themes to create purpose-led communication. At the same time, LAVA's music-film approach and Vadilal's product collaboration show how brands are experimenting with formats beyond conventional advertising.
With the festive season approaching, the competition for consumer attention is likely to become even more intense. This week's campaigns suggest that brands are increasingly looking for ways to make their messages feel entertaining, culturally familiar and emotionally relevant rather than simply promotional.
