Attack movie review, John Abraham’s super-soldier opens up an avenue for Indian new action movies. Attack centers on Arjun, an Indian Army Special Officer, who is given the chance to transform into the country’s first super-soldier with the help of AI. He’s left with severe brain damage from a near-fatal attack. As we know it’s already been declared that the movie is a flop. But here we come up with some reasons why to watch or not? Let’s have a look at the details together.
It was a great mix of futuristic sci-fi elements and slick action set against a backdrop of believable VFX and John Abraham doing his best – beating down bad guys to a pulp. If cinema has taught us anything it is that trailers have raised enormous expectations, only to be disappointed in the film. The central character, a super-soldier, that Attack has John plays, will be familiar to action junkies who were raised on the same diet as the Universal Soldier franchise, Marvel’s Captain America, and Avengers tent poles, Bloodshot and Outside the Wire, the Robocop movies, and so on.

Then there’s the matter of the star-making a series of commercially and critically acclaimed films in Pagalpanti and Mumbai Saga, as well as the disastrous Satyameva Jayate 2. What does it all mean? Does Attack make John a welcome come back and bring new life to Indian action films? Both of those questions are answered with an emphatic “Yes” despite Attack’s many criticisms of the script.
After a near-fatal attack that left him emotionally, psychologically, and physically disabled, Arjun, an Indian Army Special Officer, is the focus of the attack.

What is best in the New Bollywood Action Movie?
Kudos to the entire team for trying something new as ls Indian cinema. Even more kudos for executing it at least in the parts that matter – action, VFX, and futuristic techno talk. The simplification allows the average person to understand the concept without making it harder for people with a greater understanding of such ideas. The movie’s three major highlights are a bike-chase sequence with John Abraham doing it as he does best. A stunt in which said bike crashes into a plane is a highlight. And the technology that John uses to create his super-soldier mode, makes it look plausible if not possible in the near future, and the tech is explained to John, who can now sleepwalk through these tailor-made roles.
Rakul Preet, Prakash Raj, and Rajit Kapur all excel at delivering dramatic scenes. It is a joy to see Kiran Kumar, a veteran actor, in a mainstream Hindi movie after so many years and in a role that suits him. Aarif Sheikh’s editing, and the camerawork of P. S. Vinod, Soumik Mukherjee, and Will Humphris all get the job done despite not being particularly notable.

John Abraham New Movie 2022 Not Liking Part of Movie
Although the action is well done and some moments stand out, there are a few instances where it doesn’t work as expected. The parliament scene, which constitutes half of the climax, and the first time John is actually in action as a super soldier, are both crucial junctures that require more planning and fewer jump cuts. Action-movie directors in Hollywood and Bollywood need to realize that long takes, or at least fewer cuts, are key to making action scenes memorable. This is especially important when engaging neutral viewers. Old-school action works well. There’s also a reason Mad Max Fury Road and John Wick films are so popular in modern-day action. This film’s bike chase and final stunts, for example, work well.
It’s Lakshya Rajanand’s first feature. I’ll give him some slack. However, John Abraham and Sumit Batheja, their co-writers team, are difficult to forgive. They both have the same problem with plot holes, especially those that were exposed during the terrorist attacks on Delhi’s parliament and airport. Jacqueline Fernandez and John are also very cheesy, as Jacqueline aptly but inadvertently says it in one of her lines. This is borderline caricatures and adds zero to the emotional quotient of the plot. The background score and songs are also below-average. Lastly, the dialogues are often too artificial and sometimes cringe-worthy to be taken seriously.
Watch Attack for its unique attempt at Indian cinema. Its slick VFX and ability to seamlessly present futuristic techno elements; its bike chase at the climax; John Abraham doing the thing he was made to do; and its clap-worthy stunt with an aircraft. These parts are sufficient to get you through the rough bits of the movie.
