Bollywood actress Mouni Roy, known for her mesmerizing performances, is all set to dazzle audiences once again with a special cabaret dance sequence in an upcoming project. The talented actress has left no stone unturned in her preparation for this captivating performance, dedicating extra time to rehearsals and perfecting her body language.
Speaking about her preparation, Mouni Roy expressed her admiration for director Milan Luthria, stating, “Milan Luthria sir is actually very precise, and he knows exactly what he wants.” She revealed that despite her curiosity about the cabaret song they would be performing to, Milan Luthria always kept it a secret, assuring her that it would be an original and superb composition.
Mouni Roy’s dedication to her craft is evident as she took on the challenge of Jazz dance for the very first time in her career. She acknowledged the need for a different body language for this dance style and admitted to rehearsing more than usual to ensure she nailed it. She credited the entire team for working cohesively to bring Milan Luthria’s vision to life.
The upcoming project, titled ‘Sultan Of Delhi,’ is based on the book ‘Sultan of Delhi: Ascension’ by Arnab Ray. Produced by Reliance Entertainment and directed by Milan Luthria, with co-direction and co-writing by Suparn Verma, the series boasts an ensemble cast featuring Tahir Raj Bhasin, Anjumm Shharma, Vinay Pathak, Nishant Dahiya, and leading ladies Anupriya Goenka, Mouni Roy, Harleen Sethi, and Mehreen Pirzada.
‘Sultan of Delhi’ is slated to stream exclusively on Disney+ Hotstar starting from October 13, promising an intriguing narrative and Mouni Roy’s spellbinding cabaret performance.
Mouni Roy was last seen in the film ‘Brahmastra,’ where she portrayed the character Junoon alongside Ranbir Kapoor and Alia Bhatt in the lead roles. As she ventures into this new project, fans eagerly await her latest on-screen endeavor, expecting nothing short of brilliance from this versatile actress.
