The Two-minute trailer gave a glimpse of other cast members Amit Sadh, Kunal Kapoor, Vineet Singh, and Sunny Kaushal as the members of the Hockey team. Naagin star Munni Roy is in the role of Akshay Kumar’s wife and appears for five seconds in the trailer.
Gold Movie traces the journey of Tapan Das, who dreams of winning the first gold for the country. The journey that began in 1936 took 12 years to complete. On August 12, 1948, India won its first gold medal in hockey as an independent nation. Earlier, whatever medals won by India, were in the name of British India, and after the victory, the flag of the British was waving.
Gold is being produced by Ritesh Sidhwani and Farhan Akhtar. Written and directed by Reema Kagti. Gold is all set to release on August 15 and clashing with Satyameva Jayate and Yamla Pagla Deewana Phir Se.
