The trailer starts with Sonakshi Sinha (Happy 2), who has been kidnaped by Chinese agents. Daman Singh Bagga (Jimmy Shergill), who booked Canada honeymoon package, also has been kidnaped from his marriage by Chinese agents. After that, Happy runs away from her abductors and all the characters find themselves stuck in a mess. Orginal Happy aka Diana Penty and Guddu (Ali Fazal), get a small appearance in the trailer.
Before the trailer, the makers released four teasers of the film, in which Diana Penty, Piyush Mishra, and Jimmy Shergill were seen.
Produced by Aanand L Rai & Eros International and helmed by Mudassar Aziz, Happy Phirr Bhag Jayegi has an ensemble star cast consisting of Ali Fazal, Piyush Mishra, Jimmy Sheirgill and Jassi Gill playing a key role. The film is slated to release on August 24, 2018.
