The film starts where Robot ended. Dr. Vaseegaran (Rajinikanth) has damaged the Chitty and now has a sidekick robot Nila (Amy Jackson). The story starts with an old man hang himself from a mobile tower and suicide. After that large amount of birds surround him and suddenly the mobile starts flying from the users and disappear into thin air. Soon, the government calls Dr. Vaseegaran to solve the crisis. And when a monstrous bird, built up of mobile phones, starts attacking the city, Dr. Vaseegaran is forced to bring back Chitti.
Rajinikanth as Dr. Vaseegaran, Chitti & Rabo 2.0 delivered electrifying performances. Akshay Kumar’s character as a Pakshi Raja (Crowman) is the highlights of 2.0. He makes his presence felt with an outstanding performance as the antagonist. Amy Jackson also delivered decent performance. Other casts Sudhanshu Pandey, Adil Hussain, Kalabhavan Shajohn and Riyaz Khan have done justice to their roles.
The film has a simple story which is quite predictable. The second half of the film is remarkable. The last half an hour is a treat. The fight scene between 2.0 and Pakshiraja – guarantees that we get the value for our money. Overall, 2.0 is blow your mind with its unbelievable concept, entertaining screenplay, stunning visuals and solid performances by thalaivar Rajinikanth and Akshay Kumar.
