Dhadak, which is starring Janhvi Kapoor and Ishaan Khatter in lead role, takes a good opening at the box-office. The film surpassed Varun Dhawan, Alia Bhatt and Sidharth Malhotra starrer Student Of The Year (7.48 crores). Dhadak collected 8.71 crores on Friday (Day 1) at the domestic box office.
Janhvi Kapoor starrer film now becomes the highest grosser film with either all newcomers or at least a leading man being a debutant. Film Critic and trade analyst Taran Adarsh revealed Dhadak movie first-day box office collection on Twitter.
Presented by Dharma Productions and Zee Studios, Dhadak marks the Bollywood debut of late Sridevi’s daughter Jahnvi Kapoor. The film opened with mixed reviews from critics. The film’s business is expected to jump on Saturday and Sunday and finish its first weekend around 30 crores. Directed by Shashank Khaitan, the film was released 2235 screens across the country.
