‘Poacher’ Premieres Feb 23, Alia Bhatt’s Production House Shines a Spotlight on Conservation Efforts and Criminal Injustice

Award-winning actress turned producer, Alia Bhatt, is set to deliver a powerful message through her latest venture, “Poacher,” a web series that unravels the harrowing tale of the largest ivory poaching ring in Indian history. While Alia takes on the role of Executive Producer through her production company, Eternal Sunshine Productions, the show itself is a fictionalized dramatization of real-life events, shedding light on the atrocities committed against animals and the tireless efforts of those working to unveil the crime.

“Poacher” is managed by Emmy Award-winning filmmaker Richie Mehta and features a stellar ensemble cast, including Nimisha Sajayan, Roshan Mathew, and Dibyendu Bhattacharya. The web series centers around a group of Indian Forest Service officers, NGO workers, and police constables who risk their lives to expose the gruesome reality of ivory poaching in the country.
