In the wake of the recent shooting incident outside Salman Khan’s Galaxy Apartment in Mumbai, which left his family and fans deeply concerned, Mumbai Police have been swift in apprehending six suspects so far. However, amidst these developments, a former girlfriend of the Bollywood actor, Pakistani actress Somi Ali, has issued a public apology to the Bishnoi community regarding the blackbuck poaching case, urging Khan to seek forgiveness.

A few days ago, panic ensued as gunshots were fired outside Salman Khan’s residence, prompting a swift police response resulting in the arrest of six suspects.

Following Somi Ali’s apology, the Bishnoi community has expressed its stance, setting conditions before Salman Khan. Speaking to news agency IANS, Devendra Budiya, President of All India Bishnoi Community, stated, “If Salman Khan himself apologizes in this matter, only then will it be accepted. It was not Somi Ali Khan who hunted the blackbuck, it was Salman Khan.”

Budiya emphasized that Khan must personally visit a temple and apologize, pledging not to repeat such actions in the future while promising to contribute to the welfare of animals and the environment. He stressed that only upon fulfilling these conditions would Khan’s apology be accepted by the community.

The incident dates back to 1998 when Salman Khan, along with Tabu, Saif Ali Khan, Sonali Bendre, and Neelam Kothari, was accused of hunting a blackbuck during the shooting of the film “Hum Saath-Saath Hain.”

The Bishnoi community, known for its staunch protection of wildlife, had filed a case against the actors, leading to legal proceedings.

Despite Somi Ali’s attempt to mend fences, the Bishnoi community’s rejection underscores the gravity of the situation for Salman Khan, who now faces the challenge of meeting their conditions for forgiveness.

The developments surrounding Khan’s efforts to seek redemption in the 26-year-old blackbuck poaching case continue to garner attention, highlighting the importance of accountability and reconciliation in matters concerning wildlife conservation.

This incident serves as a reminder of the need for greater awareness and respect for wildlife, emphasizing the role of individuals, especially public figures, in fostering a culture of conservation and responsibility towards the environment.
