In the wake of a recent shooting incident near actor Salman Khan’s Bandra residence, Maharashtra Chief Minister Eknath Shinde paid a visit to the Bollywood superstar to discuss the security situation. Two assailants on a motorcycle had opened fire outside Khan’s Galaxy Apartments around 5 AM on Sunday.

Upon arriving at Khan’s residence, CM Shinde was greeted by the actor himself, who escorted him inside to meet his father and renowned scriptwriter Salim Khan, politician Baba Siddique, and his son Jishan.

Addressing the media outside Salman Khan’s residence, CM Shinde stated, “I have assured Salman Khan that the government stands with him. Both the culprits involved in the incident have been apprehended and will be thoroughly interrogated. We will ensure that justice is served and no one is spared.”

Furthermore, Shinde emphasized, “No permission will be given for any gang-related activities. We will not let such incidents happen. We will put an end to Lawrence Bishnoi.”

According to police sources, the two individuals arrested were identified through CCTV footage. They were seen carrying backpacks and wearing hats while committing the act. One was dressed in a black jacket and denim pants paired with a white T-shirt, while the other wore red pants with a denim jacket.

The arrested individuals are reportedly members of the notorious Lawrence Bishnoi gang, which is linked to several high-profile crimes, including multiple homicides involving singer-politician Sidhu Moosewala and Karni Sena leader Sukhdev Singh Gogamedi. Both are currently incarcerated in Tihar Jail.

Earlier on the day of the incident, CM Shinde had spoken to the actor over the phone and had also discussed increasing Khan’s security with Mumbai Police Commissioner.

Since November 2022, following threats from gangsters Lawrence Bishnoi and Goldie Barel, Salman Khan has been provided Y-plus security. He is also authorized to carry a personal firearm and travels in a bulletproof vehicle for added safety.

The incident has once again highlighted the security concerns faced by celebrities in Mumbai and the need for stringent measures to ensure their safety.
