Many people are upset with me, and various allegations have been made against me. I have been called a fake Hindu, anti-Hindu, and a traitor. ‘Traitor’ is a big word, but I accept your criticism. You have supported me and made me who I am today, so I accept everything you say. Many have said that I have a huge ego and I am not apologizing to the Hindu community. That’s not true. I apologize to everyone.”
Sacrifices for Sanatan Dharma
He further added, “I have sacrificed not one but thousands for my Hinduism, Sanatan Dharma. I don’t consider him [Munawar Faruqui] my friend or my brother. My religion is everything to me. People have accused me of insulting Mother Sita, saying wrong things about Lord Rama, and I even ended up in jail. During the match, I mentioned all celebrities who participated, including Akshay Kumar and Sachin Tendulkar, asking whether they are not Hindus.”
