In an interview with Galatta India, Sonakshi and Zaheer reflected on their wedding, which took place on June 23. Despite the simple nature of the ceremony, the couple encountered their fair share of social media backlash. Trolls targeted the Sinha family, but Sonakshi and Zaheer remained unfazed by the negativity.

A Magical Moment During the Kanyadaan Ceremony

The couple shared a deeply meaningful experience they had during the traditional kanyadaan ceremony. Zaheer recalled, “I think it was the best moment of my life, and it was incredibly beautiful. There was a 15-minute delay in the kanyadaan ritual, and as we sat down, I held Sonakshi’s hand, and we began praying.”

Zaheer then mentioned how Sonakshi suddenly asked, “Can you hear that?” Puzzled, he responded, “What?” Sonakshi replied, “The Azaan has started,” and both of them felt it was a beautiful, magical moment. As their wedding rituals were taking place, with the priest chanting mantras, the Azaan echoed in the background, creating a spiritually charged atmosphere.

Quick Decision of Sonakshi Sinha on Wedding Outfits

The actress also recently shared a fun detail about choosing her wedding outfit. According to Sonakshi, it took her and Zaheer just five minutes to decide on their outfits. “We knew exactly what we wanted to wear in those five minutes. I was very clear that I wanted to wear a red saree. I chose to wear my mother’s saree and her jewelry, which made the day even more special.”

Seven Years of Love Before Marriage

Before tying the knot, Sonakshi and Zaheer had been dating for seven years. They managed to keep their relationship private, never publicly confirming their romance, even though they occasionally posted pictures together on social media.
