Kangan Ruby A new track of Akshay Kumar and Bhumi Pednekar film Raksha Bandhan was out July 5th. The song, Kangan Ruby Wala the track, has retro appeal in which Akshay and Bhumi dance at the wedding, including four of his sisters’ attendance. Sung by Himesh Reshammiya and written by Irshad Kamil, Kangan Ruby shows Bhumi Pednekar’s character laughing at Akshay’s Lala Kedarnath for getting so thrilled at a wedding of another but not taking the initiative to organize his own. He attempts to win her over by promising to give the traditional bangle to repair their wedding one day. Raksha Bandhan centres on Akshay, who has made vows not to marry until he has married off all four of his sisters. He is in a bind due to a lack of money to pay for dowries for his sisters’ weddings. Bhumi is his lover who made to wait until he can make good on his vows. Anand L Rai write the film of Atrangi Re fame. The film also features Sahejmeen Kaur, Deepika Khanna Sadia Khateeb, and Smrithi Srikanth, who play Akshay’s sisters.
When discussing the film, Akshay has told PTI, “Like, I did Toilet: Ek Prem Katha, Padman. In this film, too, we’re not just talking about dowry but also providing solutions to the country and the entire world. Every film I watch, I try to unravel myself. I want to challenge my perception and, afterwards, do something different. I would only take action when I first entered the field, and it took me several years to get into it.”
