Founder of ‘Gaonwala Conceptz Studiioz and Producer Of ‘Gaonwala Diaries’ Dhanjany Singh Masoom Is Making Waves With His Village Driven Content
Dhananjay Singh Masoom is one powerful content creator and prolific producer who has unique vision to produce content driven by village life and which is totally related and dedicated to various aspects of villages and villagers. Hence he decided to start a studio named ‘Gaonwala Conceptz Studiioz’ which has gained immense popularity in a very short span of time.
Dhananjay Singh Masoom always believed that the real India lives in villages and but their problems and their issues are not highlighted in a way as urban life is presented quite often. The motto of ‘Gaonwala Conceptz Studiioz’ is also very unique as it says that ‘jis kahani mein gaon nahin, woh humein sunani nahin” which if translated in English simply means that “we are not interested in telling stories which are not related to our villages”. This is the mantra which the founder of “Gaonwala Conceptz Studiioz’ has followed rigouroulsy and made some interesting content. This is what led him to create ‘The Gaon Diaries : Bihar’. He made many episodes related to the series and produced episodes like ‘Berozgaar Pati’, ‘Byaah Katwa’, ‘Saali Ki Jaalsaazi’ and ‘Bantwara’ which focused on the problems of villages and became quite popular among all kinds of viewers. Till now more than 200 million people have watched these episodes. The popularity of these shows and episodes are such that numbers are increasing day by day.
It is quite interesting to know that before establishing ‘Gaonwala Conceptz Studiioz’, Dhananjay Singh Masoom started his career as a copywriter and creative director in the ad world. Later, he entered the television industry and was associated with many path breaking shows in the span of 15-20 years of his career. Then he joined the marathi film industry and produced many talked about films like ‘Funtaroo” and ‘Takatak’. But Dhananjay Singh Masoom soon realised that power of ever growing medium of internet and OTT platforms. He always wanted to underline and highlight the issues related to villagers. He felt that the internet is the medium where stories rooted in our villages can be told and presented in effective ways. Soon ‘Gaonwala Conceptz Studiioz’ became a reality.
Talking about his initiative Dhananjay Masoom Singh says, “I never had an iota of doubt about the success of shows produced under the banner of ‘Gaonwala Conceptz Studiioz’. There are many shows which are currently being produced by ‘Gaonwala Conceptz Studiioz’. Talking about the upcoming projects Dhanjay Singh Masoom said, “After the grand success of ‘Berozgaar Pati’ we are going to produce 10 more episodes in which we are going to focuss on the interpersonal relationship of a unemployed husband and a working wife and how the society perceive their relationship.” He further revealed that they have already shot 5 episodes of their new show ‘Sasural Jhunki Ka’ which will be soon available for viewers to watch. He said that the show is about a young girl who is married off at the age of just 18. She takes time to understand the dynamics of her new relationships while staying with her husband and in-laws. Soon she grows into a very mature and strong woman who learns to handle many things confidently. This show would have two seasons and every season of the show will have 26 episodes each.
Another show from the said studiioz is titled as ‘Mohabbat Se Aage’ which is a story of a teenage girl who gets pregnant and all hell broke loose. Another interesting show is titled as ‘Bideshi Beta’ where it is shown how a young man wants to return to his motherland and his village and do something good for its people but he has to face a lot of challenges while doing so. ‘Pahuna Ho Pahuna’ is also quite an interesting show whose story is about a brash son-in-law who always creates troubles in the life of his in-laws.
With an interesting line up of shows based on the themes of people living in villages, Dhananjay Singh Masoom is very excited to present them to the viewers and know their responses for his new ventures.
