The Jonas Brothers, renowned American pop band, enthralled thousands of fans during their debut performance in India at Lollapalooza. The concert took place at the Mahalaxmi Race Course in South Mumbai. Nick Jonas, in a playful remark, mentioned that the performance at the sangeet ceremony during his wedding with Priyanka in 2018 didn’t count as their first time performing in India.

Addressing the crowd, Nick Jonas spoke about the special connection his family holds with India. “We, as a family, have a deep, deep connection with the country,” Nick expressed, prompting the audience to chant ‘jiju’ affectionately. He thanked the audience for having them and promised to make it the most exciting night ever.

The Jonas Brothers treated the audience to a captivating performance, delivering a medley of their popular songs, including “Celebrate,” “Sucker,” “What a Man Gotta Do,” “Close,” and “Jealous,” among others. Nick Jonas, appreciative of the incredible crowd, expressed gratitude and teased a surprise for the fans.

As the instruments faded, Nick surprised everyone with his version of “Maan Meri Jaan,” titled “Afterlife,” featuring rapper King singing in Hindi. The night concluded with the Jonas Brothers performing their final track, “Leave Before You Love Me,” leaving the audience cheering and eager for their return.

Before the festival, Priyanka Chopra gave a shoutout to the Jonas Brothers as they embarked on their first performance in India. The actress, although not present at Lollapalooza, shared her excitement for the significant moment. Priyanka is set to appear in the Hollywood film “Heads of State” and the Bollywood film “Jee Le Zaraa.”

As Mumbai echoed with the affectionate chants of ‘jiju,’ it marked a memorable night for the Jonas Brothers and their fans, leaving Priyanka Chopra touched by the heartfelt gesture from the vibrant city. The Jonas family’s connection with India, amplified by this performance, promises more exciting moments for their fans in the future.
