Producer Namit Malhotra shared an Instagram post expressing his vision and passion for the project. He wrote, “More than a decade ago, I embarked on the journey of bringing this grand epic to the big screen, an epic that has touched billions over the past 5,000 years. Today, I am thrilled to see this vision taking shape beautifully, as our teams work relentlessly with one mission in mind: to present the world with the most authentic, sacred, and awe-inspiring adaptation of our history, truth, and culture—our ‘Ramayana.’ Join us as we strive to bring this cherished epic to life with pride and reverence. Part 1 is set to release on Diwali 2026, and Part 2 on Diwali 2027.”

The makers have confirmed that “Ramayana Part 1” and “Ramayana Part 2” will be released over two consecutive Diwali seasons, 2026 and 2027. The first teaser poster has also been revealed, showcasing Lord Ram’s iconic bow and marking the release dates. Ranbir Kapoor is set to portray Lord Ram, while Sai Pallavi will play Sita. Additionally, popular Kannada superstar Yash has been cast as Raavan, bringing even more anticipation to the film.
