Baba Siddique was fatally shot in broad daylight in Mumbai. He was rushed to Lilavati Hospital, where he eventually succumbed to his injuries. Soon after, the Lawrence Bishnoi gang publicly claimed responsibility for the assassination. The murder has left Salman Khan deeply disturbed, given his close relationship with Siddique.
Security Tightened Around Salman Khan
A viral post on social media has heightened concerns. It reads, “We have no personal enmity with anyone. But whoever helps Salman Khan will have to settle their score with us. If any of our brothers are harmed, we will retaliate. We have never attacked first.”
In light of this threat, Salman Khan’s security has been reinforced, particularly around his residence at Galaxy Apartments in Bandra.
Salman Khan Cancels Meetings, Struggles with Grief
According to an India Today report, Salman and his family have withdrawn from social interactions following the incident. They have asked members of the film industry to refrain from visiting their home. The actor has also postponed all his professional meetings and engagements for a few days.
A source close to the family revealed that Siddique’s death has left Salman deeply distressed. After returning home from the hospital, the actor reportedly did not sleep the entire night. Instead, he stayed in constant touch with Siddique’s son, Zeeshan, over the phone. Salman is also actively coordinating with the family to ensure he can attend Siddique’s funeral and offer his support.
The tragedy has not only affected Salman but also his brothers, Sohail Khan and Arbaaz Khan, who were equally close to Baba Siddique. Like Salman, they are struggling to come to terms with the loss of their long-time friend.
Investigation Identifies Three Shooters
In the latest development, the police have identified three suspects in connection with the murder. Two of the shooters reportedly hail from Bahraich, Uttar Pradesh, while the third is said to be from Haryana. Meanwhile, the gang’s social media post also alleged that Baba Siddique had prior associations with Dawood Ibrahim and was implicated under the MCOCA (Maharashtra Control of Organised Crime Act).
