Actress and influencer Kusha Kapila recently found herself in the spotlight after appearing on Ashish Solanki’s ‘Pretty Good Roast Show’ on YouTube. As a guest on the show, she faced roasting from several comedians. However, some jokes crossed the line, prompting her fans to express their displeasure on social media.

Experience on the Show

Kusha Kapila, a well-known comedian and social media influencer, shared her experience on the ‘Pretty Good Roast Show’ in a social media post. She was roasted by stand-up comedians including Samay Raina, Aditya Kulshreshtha, Shreya Priyam Roy, and Gurleen Pannu. Some of the jokes targeted her personal life, including comments about her recent divorce from ex-husband Zorawar Singh Ahluwalia, which sparked controversy online.

Fans’ Reaction

Many of Kusha’s female fans questioned how she could endure such jokes. Accusations arose that she was paid for the show, which Kusha addressed in a YouTube video. She clarified, “I didn’t receive any payment for the show; I did it out of friendship. No one, including the comedians and guests, was paid. The notion that people are paid hefty sums to endure insults is nonsense.”

Lack of Script

Kusha further explained that she was unaware of the extent of trolling she would face on the show. “Because it was a friend’s show, I didn’t investigate beforehand. I didn’t know what to expect. Maybe I should have asked for the script and known better, but I trusted my friends, so I didn’t. It was a rookie mistake,” she admitted.

Offensive Jokes

Sharing her experience during the roast, Kusha said, “I endured some very distressing jokes in front of a live audience and technicians. I was not at all okay with these jokes being broadcast to millions because some jokes dehumanized me. It was shocking. If I hadn’t allowed the episode to air, I would have been labeled a coward and a crybaby, and a different kind of trolling would have started.”

Kusha Kapila’s experience on the ‘Pretty Good Roast Show’ has highlighted the fine line between comedy and offense. Her candid reflections on the experience underscore the importance of maintaining respect and boundaries in comedic content. Fans and followers continue to support her, urging for a more considerate approach in such entertainment formats.
