Maidaan is based on the life of Football coach Abdul Rahim, where Ajay Devgn will play the role of Indian football coach and manager. And now National award winner Priyamani replaces Kriti Suresh in Maidaan. Priyamani has done 50+ films in the south industry.
Earlier, the makers of Maidaan roped south actress Kriti Suresh and she also had shot for a day. According to reposts, After the shoot, both makers and Keerthy felt she looked too young as she had lost a lot of weight since she was cast for the film. The makers felt Keerthy would not suit the role of a mother, and hence, decided to recast Priyamani in the role.
Talking about Priyamani, the actress recently features in Amazon web series The Family Man opposite Manoj Bajpai. Apart from Web Series, Priyamani starts her in Bollywood career with Raavan movie.
