Recently, Aniruddhacharya Maharaj, a popular preacher, appeared as a guest on Salman Khan’s reality show ‘Bigg Boss 18.’ However, his participation in the show sparked a controversy, with many followers expressing discontent over his presence on the platform. Following this, the preacher faced significant trolling on social media.
Controversy Sparks Over Fake Photo
Amid the ongoing backlash, a new controversy erupted when a manipulated photo of Aniruddhacharya touching Salman Khan’s feet went viral online. As soon as the image spread, it triggered outrage among the preacher’s devotees, who demanded action against the responsible individuals.
The police promptly took notice and have arrested the accused responsible for uploading the fake image.
Aniruddhacharya Reacts on Social Media
Aniruddhacharya himself addressed the situation through his social media handles, confirming the arrest. Along with sharing the details, he also posted a picture of the alleged offender, revealing that the person behind the doctored photo is Mohammad Asif Ali, a resident of Chilhari village.
According to reports, the accused tampered with the photo intending to damage the preacher’s reputation and incite hatred within society.
While sharing these updates, Aniruddhacharya’s post expressed gratitude toward the police and the Vishva Hindu Parishad, writing, "The one who tried to insult Maharaj Ji by spreading false rumors with a manipulated photo has been taught a lesson. Special thanks to the Chachai Police Station and the Vishva Hindu Parishad for their swift action."
Apology Over Bigg Boss Controversy
Prior to this incident, Aniruddhacharya had released a video apologizing to his followers for participating in
Bigg Boss 18. In the video, he clarified that he did not enter the show as a contestant but only as a guest to promote the teachings of the Gita and Sanatan Dharma.
