Sanjay Leela Bhansali Reveals the Inspiration Behind ‘Padmaavat’

Bollywood Mascot: Sanjay Leela Bhansali, known for his grand cinematic visions, recently opened up about the inspiration behind his film Padmaavat. He revealed that he had been captivated by the grace, bravery, and inner strength of Rani Padmavati since his childhood, which ultimately motivated him to create the film.

Bhansali stated, “The grandeur, courage, and inner strength of Padmavati have always inspired me.” He also shared that he had previously directed a stage musical based on Padmavati’s life, further showing his long-standing connection to the legendary queen.

Padmaavat, released in 2018, is based on Malik Mohammad Jayasi’s epic poem Padmavat, depicting the valor and sacrifice of Queen Padmavati. The film stars Deepika Padukone, Ranveer Singh, and Shahid Kapoor in leading roles.

Bhansali’s film became a milestone in Indian cinema, praised for its visual grandeur, music, and powerful performances.
