Sean ‘Diddy’ Combs Sues for $50 Million Over False Allegations of Sex Tapes
Music mogul seeks substantial damages after being accused of possessing alleged celebrity sex tapes.
Bollywood Mascot: Sean ‘Diddy’ Combs has filed a defamation lawsuit seeking $50 million in damages against Courtney Burgess, her attorney Ariel Mitchell, and the media company Nexstar Media, the parent organization of NewsNation. The lawsuit, filed in the Southern District of New York, claims that the defendants falsely accused him of having sex tapes involving various celebrities, some allegedly underage.
In his legal complaint, Combs states that Burgess falsely claimed to have received flash drives from the late Kim Porter, which supposedly contained explicit footage of Combs engaging in sexual acts with celebrities and minors. These unverified and damaging claims were reportedly aired by NewsNation, leading to significant harm to Combs’ public image and career.
Combs’ legal team argues that these accusations are completely fabricated, calling them reckless and without factual basis. The suit contends that the dissemination of these allegations not only harmed Combs’ reputation but also interfered with his ability to have a fair legal process as he faces other serious charges.
This defamation lawsuit comes at a challenging time for Combs, who is already dealing with multiple legal issues, including federal racketeering and sex trafficking charges. A trial related to these charges is set for May 2025. Despite the controversies, Combs continues to deny any wrongdoing, asserting his innocence in all matters.
