Salman Khan Received a Similar Threat Five Days Ago
Just five days earlier, Salman Khan was threatened in a similar manner. The accused, identified as 20-year-old Mohammad Tayyab, was arrested by Mumbai Police from Noida.
ACP Praveen Kumar Singh of Noida Police confirmed the arrest and said that Tayyab will be presented in the Surajpur Court, after which Mumbai Police will take him into transit remand. On October 25, Tayyab had sent a threatening message to the office of NCP leader Baba Siddique’s son, Zeeshan Siddique, in Bandra. The message warned that Salman Khan and Zeeshan would be killed if the ransom wasn’t paid.
Following the incident, a staff member from Zeeshan’s office filed an FIR with the police.
Previous Threat Linked to an Arrest from Jharkhand
In another recent incident, Salman Khan was threatened on October 12, six days after the murder of his close friend and NCP leader Baba Siddique. The threatening message was sent to the Mumbai Traffic Control Room through WhatsApp, with the sender claiming to be a member of the Lawrence Bishnoi gang.
The message warned: “Don’t take this lightly. If Salman Khan wants to stay alive, he must settle his feud with Lawrence by paying ₹5 crore. If he refuses, Salman will face a worse fate than Baba Siddique.” The accused in this case was arrested from Jamshedpur, Jharkhand, on October 23.
Salman’s Security Heightened Amid Ongoing Threats
Due to the repeated threats, Salman Khan’s security has been tightened over the past six months.
- October 12: The murder of Baba Siddique shocked Salman’s circle. Siddique was shot six times outside his son’s office—two bullets hit his stomach, and one struck his chest. He was rushed to Lilavati Hospital, where he was declared dead at 11:27 PM. The Lawrence Bishnoi gang took responsibility for the attack.
- April 14: Salman’s residence, Galaxy Apartments in Bandra, was targeted in a firing incident. Once again, the Lawrence gang claimed responsibility. Salman later admitted to the police that he felt exhausted from being repeatedly threatened and dragged into legal troubles.
Why is Lawrence Bishnoi Targeting Salman?
The ongoing feud between Lawrence Bishnoi and Salman Khan stems from the 1998 blackbuck poaching case. In that incident, Salman was accused of hunting blackbucks, a sacred animal for the Bishnoi community. Though Salman was arrested and convicted, he was later released on bail due to insufficient evidence.
Since then, Lawrence Bishnoi has vowed to take revenge unless Salman apologizes to the Bishnoi community. Even from Sabarmati Jail, where Lawrence is currently lodged, he continues to send threats to Salman. His gang also took credit for the firing incident outside Salman’s house in April 2024.
Despite the threats, Salman Khan remains focused on his professional commitments. He is currently hosting Bigg Boss 18 and working on his upcoming film Sikandar. In addition, Salman is preparing for his Dabangg Reloaded tour, which is scheduled to take place in Dubai soon.
