Shah Rukh Khan’s journey began in 1989 with the television show Fauji. Since then, he has never looked back, rising to fame through relentless hard work and talent. Over the years, he has delivered numerous blockbusters, becoming one of the most celebrated actors in Indian cinema. Even at 58, his charm remains as powerful as ever.
At the prestigious Locarno Film Festival in Switzerland, Shah Rukh was honored with a Lifetime Achievement Award. During this event, the Bollywood icon spoke candidly about his dreams and how long he wishes to stay active in films.
“I Want to Act Until My Last Breath”
Shah Rukh Khan expressed his desire to continue acting until his final moments. Speaking at the festival, he revealed:
“Will I keep acting forever? Yes, until I die. My dream is that someone says ‘Action!’ on set, and I take my last breath right there. They say ‘Cut!’ and I don’t get up. Someone might ask, ‘Is it over now?’ But I’ll say, ‘No, not until all of you agree it’s over.’ Yes, I want to keep acting as long as I can.”
“I Act to Entertain, Not to Be a Serious Actor”
Shah Rukh admitted that he doesn’t see himself as a “serious actor.” Instead, he said his primary goal is to entertain audiences. “I act to celebrate the joys of life,” he explained. “I’m not someone who approaches acting too seriously, but I have discovered certain elements within myself that help me perform and connect with people.”
