Director Sandeep Reddy Vanga Reacts to Criticisms: I Responded to Those who Provoked Me
Renowned director Sandeep Reddy Vanga, known for his bold filmmaking, has recently addressed criticisms surrounding his work, particularly concerning the film “Animal,” starring Ranbir Kapoor and Rashmika Mandanna. While the film has garnered praise for its performances and box office success, it has also faced its fair share of controversies.
Responding to criticisms, Vanga asserted that he does not provoke anyone but responds only to those who provoke him. He stated, “People attempt to pelt stones, and we remain silent. Isn’t that weakness? Ranbir Kapoor starrer ‘Animal’ faced both praise and criticism. It earned massive profits but also had to confront various criticisms for multiple reasons.”
In a recent statement, Vanga clarified his stance, saying, “I have responded only to those people who have provoked or said something to me. I never provoke anyone. I’m not saying that anyone can provoke me easily. But I believe that some people need to be answered. They are trying to pelt stones, and we are remaining silent. I think that’s a weakness. How long can one remain silent? Even if not everyone, certain individuals need to be confronted.”
In addition to addressing criticisms, Vanga also commended Ranbir Kapoor for his remarkable performance in “Animal,” praising him as a great actor. He highlighted Kapoor’s dedication to his craft, stating, “No matter how lengthy a scene is, he will pause and start speaking. I didn’t know he would excel in action sequences as well; if I had known, I would have worked from that perspective. He doesn’t elongate scenes but displays intensity and ruthlessness.”
Sandeep Reddy Vanga’s candid responses shed light on the challenges faced by filmmakers amidst both acclaim and criticism. As discussions surrounding “Animal” continue, Vanga’s insights provide valuable perspectives on navigating the complexities of the film industry.
