Bollywood Mascot: Good day, Mr. Mullanavar. Thank you for taking the time to speak with us. Let’s dive right in. Your upcoming film “Dhaaak” has been creating quite a buzz in the industry. Can you share some insights into your character and your experience working with the team?
Mohd Saleem Mullanavar: Thank you for having me. “Dhaaak” has indeed been an incredible journey. While I can’t reveal much about the storyline, I can say that my character is deeply complex and multifaceted. Working with director Anees Barudwale and composer Vardan Singh has been an enriching experience. Their vision and talent have truly elevated the film to new heights. Additionally, sharing the screen with talented actors like Sheena Shahabadi, Pradeep Singh Rawat, Ruslaan Mumtaz, and others has been a privilege.
Bollywood Mascot: Your dedication to your craft and versatility as an actor is evident. Apart from acting, you’ve also delved into various hobbies like action, dance, and riding. How do these interests influence your approach to character portrayal on screen?
Mohd Saleem Mullanavar: Each of my hobbies serves as a source of inspiration and adds layers to my portrayal of characters. Whether it’s the physicality and intensity in action sequences, the grace and expression in dance, or the sense of freedom and adventure in riding, I draw from these experiences to bring authenticity and depth to my roles.
Bollywood Mascot: Your journey in the film industry has been remarkable. What challenges have you faced along the way, and how have they shaped you as an actor?
Mohd Saleem Mullanavar: Like any journey, my path in the film industry has had its share of challenges. However, each obstacle has served as an opportunity for growth and learning. The industry can be competitive and unpredictable, but staying true to my craft and maintaining a strong work ethic has helped me overcome obstacles and evolve as an actor.
Bollywood Mascot: As we eagerly anticipate the release of “Dhaaak” on 19th April 2024, what message do you hope audiences take away from the film?
Mohd Saleem Mullanavar: “Dhaaak” is a cinematic experience that will leave a lasting impact on audiences. While I can’t divulge much about the film’s storyline, I can say that it’s a journey filled with emotion, intrigue, and powerful performances. I hope viewers are inspired and entertained by the film and take away a renewed sense of passion and purpose.
