Bollywood News: The popularity of the movie Pathaan shows no signs of waning as it continues to shatter box office records worldwide. After earning over Rs. 500 crores in India and nearly Rs. 1000 crores globally, the film, featuring Shah Rukh Khan, Deepika Padukone, and John Abraham, has now made a killing in Bangladesh. Pictures of packed theatres and sold-out shows have been making rounds on social media for the past few days.
Despite the film being available on Amazon Prime Video since March end, viewers in Bangladesh have been flocking to cinemas to watch the first Bollywood movie to release in their country in over 50 years. A video of the audience dancing to the song “Jhoome Jo Pathaan” has also gone viral.

Bollywood Movie Pathaan Makes Terrific Day 1 Box Office Debut in Bangladesh
An exclusive day 1 box office report of Pathaan in Bangladesh has been revealed. The film grossed 25 lakhs Bangladeshi takas, which is equivalent to INR 19.13 lakhs on its release day, May 12. Satadeep Saha, the Indian-based distributor and exhibitor of the film in Bangladesh, stated that the opening was terrific and one of the biggest of the year.
Pathaan was released in 41 cinemas in Bangladesh and has been creating a lot of buzz, with sold-out shows and viral videos of viewers dancing to the film’s songs. Despite being available on Amazon Prime Video since March end, many in Bangladesh still came out in large numbers to watch the first Bollywood movie to release in their country since 1971.

Pathaan Surpasses Hollywood releases on day one
Satadeep Saha, the Indian-based distributor and exhibitor of Pathaan in Bangladesh, confirmed that the movie has taken a terrific opening on its day of release, grossing 25 lakhs Bangladeshi takas (equivalent to INR 19.13 lakhs) from 41 screens.
He also stated that the day one numbers of Pathaan are higher than those of Hollywood releases such as Ant-Man And The Wasp: Quantumania and Guardians Of The Galaxy Vol. 3. Pathaan is expected to have a healthy run in Bangladesh, despite a drop in collections on Sunday, which is a working day in the country.
